MONSTER CROWN: THE TRADING CARD GAME
I was one of the lead artists for the official Monster Crown Trading Card Game. I was in charge of doing the artwork that would feature prominently in the main two theme decks, "The King of Dragons" and "The God of Destruction". I was also responsible for the card template graphics used in their entirety. In the King of Dragons deck, we follow Alex Duke Sawyer and his companion monster, Dracoyle, through thick and thin before their fated showdown with Beth. His deck is all about co-operation and synergy with other cards to create powerful combos with the boss card, "Alex and Dracoyle AC - Unrivaled Allies".In the God of Destruction deck, we follow the warped perspective of Beth, a young woman with dreams of becoming the most powerful creature on Earth, and her slave, the brutish and powerful Bant. Her deck is all about feeding sacrifices upwards to get the boss card, "Beth and Bant - Brutal Cohorts" into play as soon as possible.Being able to bring the world of the Monster Crown game to life through these cards was a great time. It's gritty, and bloody, and we're only just scratching the surface with the first set.Click on the images to enlarge them.
